Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?
Absolutely! Let's make your photoshoot truly unique by choosing a location that reflects your personality and vision! You have complete freedom in selecting the perfect spot for your shoot.
To help you with this, I've prepared a location guide that highlights some amazing options in Tucson and the surrounding areas.
How many images do we get back?
In my photography packages, I include a set number of images to ensure you receive a curated collection of your special moments. However, I am an "over shooter," which means that I often capture more images than the standard package offers. This allows for a greater variety of shots, ensuring that you have plenty of memories to choose from and cherish for years to come. You can expect a beautiful blend of posed, candid, and artistic shots that truly reflect the essence of your experience!
How do we receive our images?
Once your gallery is completed, I will email you a link to a website. You can easily access and download any of the images you like directly from the site. If you have any questions or need assistance navigating the gallery, feel free to reach out!
Do you do any retouch?
Before each session, I send out a questionnaire asking about any insecurities you may have. If that includes acne and/or similar insecurities then I would be more than happy to. I want you to love your photos.
What is your turnaround time?
My turnaround time is up to 2 weeks. However, during busy season, which runs from October through December, it may take longer. My wedding gallery turn around time is between 6-8 weeks. I appreciate your understanding and patience!
Can you help me during the planning process?
Thats what I'm here for! I love being creative and brainstorming ideas with you all. I will help you plan outfits, location, date, time, and much more to make your vision come to life.
What should I/We wear?
Being mindful of how you feel in your clothing can significantly enhance your confidence during photos. Incorporating different textures—like knits, linens, and denim—can add visual interest to your photos without being overly matchy. Select a color palette that includes a few base colors and some accent shades. This way, everyone can wear something that suits them while still looking cohesive. Feel free to reach out for specific recommendations or any help in curating your outfits.
How far out should I book?
It truly depends on the time of year. My weekends typically get full within 3-4 months in advance.
What time is the best for outdoor sessions?
I highly recommend Golden hour which is 60-90 minutes before sunset (depending on the location). Beautiful moments can be captured at any time of day however I cannot guarantee the same results. Harsh midday sun can lead to harsh shadows. If it is overcast we may be able to start sooner.
What is required to book a session?
After we find a date that works for us both, I will send you a questionnaire with questions about your upcoming session, a contract that must be signed and an invoice for a 30% non refundable retainer fee. Your session will not be secure without the retainer.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I understand life happens. Please reach out to me as soon as you know that you need to cancel. While retainers are non refundable, it can be transferred to a future date that works for both of us within 6 months. If something happens on my end and I need to cancel, I will refund your full amount. Thank you for understanding.
How do I book a session?
I am pretty active on Instagram @briannamejiaphotography. I post my availability regularly and am always open to direct messaging. There is a form on my contact page that will lead you to booking.
What if my Children are not cooperating?
I understand that getting children to cooperate during photography sessions can sometimes be a challenge. With years of experience working with pediatrics as an Occupational Therapy Asst. and as a mother of three boys, I completely empathize with your concerns.
Here are some of my best tips for a smooth and enjoyable session. It's important to let children move at their own pace. Instead of enforcing strict discipline, gentle guidance can foster a more relaxed environment. Embrace all the emotions. If your little ones are feeling upset or need some loving from their parents, let’s embrace those moments. My goal is to capture those authentic connections, even in the more tender times.
Involve your children in the process by allowing them to pick a piece of their outfit from a few favorite options. This can help them feel more engaged and excited about the session. Preparation is Key. Make sure they are well-rested and fed before our time together. A quick snack or nap can make all the difference!
Consider planning a fun activity for after the session. I also have a treasure box with prizes that can be an exciting reward for your kids once we finish up.
How long have you been doing photography?
Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was in elementary school when I was gifted a digital camera. I remember being in high school, I drove myself to walmart to buy a camera because I wanted to start a business but I was too busy and never did it. Years before starting, I took my family and friends maternity, family, newborn photos! Finally, 1 year after having my third son, I decided it was time to pursue my dream. I started my business page in August of 2023. Yay!
Do you offer studio sessions?
I lovestudio photography! However, I currently don't have a studio. I am more than happy to bring my studio equipment to your home and/or book a local studio. Studio fees are not included in the cost.
